Happy Monday. News for today - one of my photos from when I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Macedonia was selected for the 2008 Peace Corps Exhibition. More info: the Peace Corps International Photography Exhibition will be showcased in Fort Collins, Colorado during the Peace Corps Celebration. Selected images will be exhibited in the Center’s gallery which is adjacent to the primary site of the Celebration festivities, August 20 – August 30, 2008 and on the Center’s website for two additional years. There are also plans for a traveling exhibition. More info about the exhibit is here: 2008 Peace Corps Photography Exhibition
This photo is of Macedonian children in traditional dress at the Galichnik Svadba, an annual traditional Macedonian wedding in Galichnik, Macedonia. Each year, couples from all over Macedonia enter a competition run to be the couple that gets to have a "Galichka" style wedding. To see more of my photos from Macedonia, take a look at a cool website called Photos for Peace or click directly on my album here: Macedonian Photos at photosforpeace.org.
